FISH RESCUE - Save trout from irrigation canals

Irrigation Water Comes from the River - Fish get trapped in canals at season's end. Volunteers stun fish by electro-shock, collect them by net and haul in an oxygenated tank. Fish are released back into their home water. Coordinated with irrigation districts and landowners, this massive community effort saves a fraction of the trout which find their way into the irrigation canals. Fish screens are a solution to keep fish in the river.
